So I get this phone call at work and it's my wife telling me the following story:
My son, who is 18 months old, is woken up early (6:45!) because they are going to the beach today and sleeping in the car is a really good thing. Instead of the usual morning snuggle, he wants to stumble around his room in a groggy half sleep looking for an interesting morning toy. Eventually, he wanders out into the kitchen points up to the counter and says, "coffee?"
Like I said before - be careful what you do and say, they're watching everything and I mean EVERYTHING.

Wednesday's Big Idea: More Blessing of Missions
A day late, but definitely not a dollar short. Yesterday was my 9th wedding anniversary, so I didn't get any time to post. I did want to continue my marriage theme - it seemed appropriate and marriage is indeed a blessing.
Wednesday's big idea was a continuation of blessing focusing on our friends in the field - I left early (which was a bummer because the Kangas brothers showed up. Soon a guitar, two drums and a tambourine were pounding out some serious praise...) We spent some time in Isaiah 55 and prayed for each other and those of us in far away.
Even though my time there was brief, it was invaluable. There is nothing more important in my week than the concentrated hours spent with my Father in heaven in the house of prayer. It is a true expression of "brothers living together in unity" (Psalm 133), it definitely is "good and pleasant" and it remains a vital part of my spiritual survival.

Quote of the Day
This was the quote of the day in my planner:
"There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage." - Martin Luther
Amen.

Joyous Occasions!
I don't have much time today, but I just want to join in celebrating with my friends Mark and Kira (just married!) and Phil and Vanessa (a new baby!) Both happened on July 10 and both are worthy of much rejoicing. If you are feeling so inspired, lift a prayer for these folks. If you happen to know them, think of something you can do for them, like providing support, company or anything else that comes to mind.
"If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it." (1 Cor. 12:26)
Today we are rejoicing! Know that we are blessing you and praying for you guys.
